Talking wine with... Lae Sánchez
Classics never fail, your trusted wine?
When it comes to reds, I stick to the D.O. Ribera and go for a Tempranillo called Malabrigo, from Bodegas Cepa21. I would call it the perfect unknown. With this great wine, I always relax and get inspired. A white wine that never fails me is El Polvorete, from Bodegas Emilio Moro, the truth is that the Godello variety makes me happy.
A tapa (or dish) that represents you?
A good scrambled eggs with ham or a Spanish potato salad (ensaladilla rusa) represents me.
Here we are very fond of bars, the bar of your life?
El Trébol in Valladolid is always a good place.
With whom would it be your dream to have a drink? Whether dead or alive...
I would have a glass of wine chatting with Julio Cortázar.
Song of the year?
I'm going to choose Coastline by Hollow Coves. This song has accompanied me many nights in my creative process for my fifth book "Qué bueno que te fuiste".
And the film of your life?
Life is beautiful.
What shall we toast to today?
Today we are toasting precisely because life is beautiful; for those opportunities that are born every day and for the trains we take, and even for the ones we decide to miss.
