Campo de Cartagena Vino de la Tierra / I.G.P.

SituaTION

Campo de Cartagena is a flatland region close to the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by mountains of a moderate height. The vineyard surface ascribed to the VT I.G.P.is just 8 hectares. The climate is mediterranean bordering on an arid, desert type, with very hot summers, mild temperatures for the rest of the year, and low and occasional rainfall. The main varieties in the region are bonicaire, forcallat tinta, petit verdot, tempranillo, garnacha tintorera, crujidera, merlot, syrah and cabernet sauvignon (red); and chardonnay, malvasía, moravia dulce, moscatel de grano menudo and sauvignon blanc (white).
