Situation

Located in the eastern part of Spain, on the Mediterranean coast, the geographical indication Vinos de la Tierra de Castelló is divided in two different areas: Alto Palancia –Alto Mijares, Sant Mateu and Les Useres–, and Vilafamés. The climatic conditions in this wine region are good to grow varieties such as tempranillo, monastrell, garnacha, garnacha tintorera, cabernet sauvignon, merlot and syrah (red), along with macabeo and merseguera (white).
