SITUATION

In the north of the province of Tarragona with a production area that includes 14 municipalities, to which Vilanova de Prades has been added.

CLIMATE

Mediterranean and continental influences, as the vineyard occupies a river valley surrounded by mountain ranges without direct contact with the sea.

SOILS

Most of the soils are brownish-limestone. The vines are grown on slopes protected by forests. An important aspect is the altitude, which conditions wines with a fresh and light character.

VARIETIES

White: macabeo, parellada (majority 3,000 ha.), chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, viognier and sumoll blanc.
Reds: trepat, ull de llebre (tempranillo), garnatxa, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, pinot noir and sumoll negre. 

GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WINES

WHITES
Pale and bright in color, they are fruity, pleasant to drink and very light, although not excessively aromatic.
ROSÉS
Of a pinkish-raspberry color, quite modern in their style of elaboration; with aromas of red fruits, quite fresh, tasty and well balanced.
RED WINE
Time has positioned them as wines with good structure due to the continental influence and their Mediterranean character. On the nose they are balsamic, with hints of rockrose, and on the mouth they are powerful, fleshy and concentrated.
