DESCRIPTION
It is located in the western region of the country. It is bordered to the north by Zacatecas, Aguascalientes and Nayarit, to the northeast by San Luis Potosí, to the east by Guanajuato, to the south by Michoacán and Colima, and to the west by the Pacific Ocean.

PREDOMINANT VARIETIES
Reds: Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Sauvignon.
Whites: chenin blanc.
CLIMATOLOGY AND SOILS
It has a wide climatic range that goes from Mediterranean climate, through hot semi-arid climate and tropical savannah. The presence of the Pacific Ocean cools the high temperatures at certain times of the year.
