VT I.G.P.Liébana includes the municipalities of Potes, Pesagüero, Cabezón de Liébana, Camaleño, Castro Cillorigo y Vega de Liébana, all of them within the area of Liébana, located in the southwest of the Cantabria bordering with Asturias, León and Palencia. The authorized varieties are mencía, tempranillo, garnacha, garciano, merlot, syrah, pinot noir, albarín negro and cabernet sauvignon (red); and palomino, godello, verdejo, albillo, chardonnay and albarín blanco (white).
