This wine region is located in the north of the province of Ourense, along the Miño river valley. The authorized grape varieties are treixadura, torrontés, godello, albariño, loureira and palomino –also known as xerez– for white wines, and mencía, brancellao, mouratón, sousón, caíño and garnacha for reds.
