GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WINES

WHITES
The most classic, young, fresh and with pleasant wild nuances, are made from merseguera. Also very characteristic are those made from muscatel (the historic variety of the region), which is used both for dry whites, very aromatic and light, and for the characteristic mistelas of the area, pale in color when they belong to the last harvest and golden yellow if they are older. All of them are characterized by their musky and auvados aromas.

ROSÉS
The current trend is towards rosés with a pinkish-raspberry color, fresh and light, with good fruit and aromatic potential.

RED WINE
The most characteristic red wines are made from Monastrell and Garnacha; they are somewhat warm wines with notes of ripe fruit in which the Mediterranean character of the area dominates, with interesting hints of scrubland. A wide range of grape varieties are also beginning to be used to produce smooth, tasty red wines with a similar Mediterranean character.
