DESCRIPTION

Located in a wide area of the Mexican highlands in the north-central part of the country, bordering Coahuila and Nuevo León to the north, Tamaulipas to the northwest, Veracruz to the east, and Querétaro and Guanajuato to the south.

Nº of hectares under vine: 140 - Altitude: 1630 masl - 1870 masl.

PREDOMINANT VARIETIES

Reds: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, Nebbiolo, Syrah and Merlot.

Whites: gewurztraminer, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc.

CLIMATE AND SOILS

The climate of the area is semi-desert, the average temperature during the flowering season and until harvest is between 28C and 36C; at night there is a significant drop in temperature that can reach 12C.

PRODUCING AREAS

Most of the vineyard (120has) is concentrated in the municipality of Moctezuma and the rest in Soledad Graciano Sánchez.
