DESCRIPTION

The wines described in this section are produced using the so-called traditional method of secondary fermentation in the bottle, the same method used for the production of cava, but whose areas of origin are not included in the DO Cava or other designations of origin.

They represent, in fact, a very small part of all the sparkling wines produced in Spain and their production figures are very far from those of cava. In general terms, the quality of these wines is somewhat lower than that of Catalan cava.
