The best course to learn about the wines of our country in depth
The Systematic Course on Spanish Wine (CSVE) is designed to provide a solid foundation of oenological and sensory learning for both aficionados and those who aspire to a serious career in the world of wine.
The CSVE 1 introduces the essential points when dealing with a wine. A theoretical-practical class in which special attention will be paid to the organoleptic appreciation of wines. Students will be able to taste six excellent wines in order to develop the different practical exercises of the tasting.
General summary of the contents of the course:
General history of wine
Classification of a wine according to its origin
Classification of wines according to ageing
Grape properties (including grape tasting) and basic wine production
Reading the label on the bottle
Practical tasting theory (visual phase, olfactory phase, gustatory phase) with tasting of aromas and flavours.
Upon completion of the course, those students who successfully pass the level test will receive a CSVE 1 diploma endorsed by the Peñín Guide. This course is conducted in Spanish
