GENERAL CHARACTERISTICS OF THE WINES

WHITES
These are the most characteristic of the region. They are distinguished by their straw or steely yellow color, sometimes with greenish iridescence; in the nose they combine floral and fruity notes, although they have a more herbaceous character than those of Getaria due to the participation, together with the hondarrabi zuri, of the folle blanche variety. In the mouth they are light, easy to drink and with the freshness given by their high acidity.

ROSÉS
In the region this type of wine is known as ojo de gallo (rooster's eye).
They represent a very small part of the production; they are fresh and light, but in the mouth they tend to have a pronounced acidity.

RED WINE
They are also in the minority as rosés; in fact, they are only produced in places where there is a certain tradition. In general, they are excessively acid.
