SituaTION

The island of Menorca, a Biosphere Reserve, has a singular topography of gentle slopes; marl soils with a complex substratum of limestone, sandstone and slate, a mediterranean climate and northerly winter winds are the most significant features from a viticultural point of view. The wines produces in the island should be made exclusively from white grape varieties like chardonnay, macabeo, malvasía, moscatel, parellada or moll; as for the red renderings, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, monastrell, tempranillo and syrah get clearly the upper hand.
