1st Selection Tasting Showroom Miami
After 14 years in the United States with Salon Selección New York, this year Peñín moves to Miami to organise its first professional show.
Miami's wine industry has experienced significant growth and transformation in recent years, driven by demographic changes, evolving consumer preferences and a flourishing local wine culture.
Between July 2020 and July 2021, Florida saw an influx of more than 220,000 new residents, with Miami attracting a substantial portion of this migration. This increase in population, particularly from regions such as New York, New Jersey and the West Coast, has diversified Miami's demographic landscape, introducing a consumer base with a greater appreciation for quality wines.
This demand has spurred the creation of wine-focused establishments and the opening of wine bars, specialty shops and restaurants that bolster their wine lists with quality references.
Miami's culture, characterised by the strong influence of Hispanic and Latino residents, is reflected in the high interest in Spanish wine.
