There was a time in the past when every family that owned a vineyard in Spain made their own wine for their own consumption. Some even produced special wines, fiesta wines.
Peñín returns with its Top Wines from Spain Tasting Showroom
The event will be held on 22nd and 23rd November 2021 at IFEMA (Madrid) and will offer the largest showcase of quality Spanish wine
The Top Wines from Spain showroom, the industry's major gathering organised by Peñín, will once again reopen its doors for its 21st edition. This event, which will take place on 22 and 23 November 2021 at IFEMA (Madrid), will present nearly 400 Spanish wineries from all producing areas and will present more than 2000 references, allowing the wineries to regain a voice and relationship with professionals.
The Top Wines from Spain tasting showroom is the largest exhibition for quality wine held in Spain. A meeting point for producers and professionals with a buyer and prescriber profile, in which a minimum requirement is established in order to participate, as only those wines that have obtained a rating of 90 points or more in the Peñín Guide can attend.
With the return of the Top Wines from Spain show, Peñín aims to relaunch what is considered to be one of the best trade promotion platforms for wineries in Spain. This 21st edition has the added bonus that it will serve to boost one of the sectors most damaged by the pandemic.
At this new edition, all kinds of oenological projects will take part: from wineries and recognised wine holdings to the small family projects with limited productions that have emerged in the last few years.
As a novelty, the show will devote a special area dedicated to the Best Vermouths, i.e. those that have obtained 90 points or more in the Peñín Vermouth Guide, the sole guide dedicated exclusively to this wine-based beverage. The show will also include a full programme of activities in parallel, including tastings and masterclasses.
Peñín is already working with IFEMA to adapt the event to the regulations and implement the necessary protocols to guarantee the safety of exhibitors, visitors and organisers.
